Installation involves utilizing the radio-to-intercom adapter and connecting radio and cables to your intercom. The kit features a handheld radio mount for secure attachment to your dash, and a long-range ducky antenna for radio enhancement. The Rugged R1 handheld is a powerful unit with a 5 Watt transmitter, optimized receiver, and DMR / analog cross-compatibility. The Dual Band functionality lets you communicate on both VHF and UHF frequencies. Included features are an LED Display, keypad and interface, Text Messaging on digital channels, and a built-in safety flashlight. The kit includes: R1 Business Band Handheld Radio, Long Range Ducky Antenna, Intercom Jumper Cable, and Radio Mounting Bracket. The R1 handheld radio works on versatile business band frequencies. Compatible with all VHF/UHF business band radios and digital radios using the DMR platform. An additional P.N. CC-KEN is needed for compatibility with RRP242 intercom. FCC and CE certified.
