Crew Chief - H42 Spotter Headset and Rugged Handheld Radio Package, developed for crew chiefs and spotters, is a combination of Rugged Radio's H42 headset, coiled headset jumper cable, and handheld radio. The package is designed for clear communications for NASCAR and IMSA circle track and road racing. Radio options include the digital 16-channel RDH for ultra-clear communication or the dual-band R1 with digital and analog operation. There is the option to extend the range with XL batteries, mag mount, and long-range antennas. Three kit options are available; Single Radio, Dual Radio, and Single Radio with Nitro Bee X. Features include easy setup with a single cable connection, headset PTT for radio transmission or headset PTT, Headset volume knob for personal comfort adjustment, dynamic noise canceling mic, and dual-band R1 handheld radio for both UHF and VHF operation. Inclusion of radio accessories and a button lock to prevent accidental changes is an addition. Compatibility includes working with all VHF/UHF business band radios operating on the same frequencies, plus digital radios using the DMR platform and all UHF business band radios.
