The OEM Polaris intercooler is prone to leak coolant into the intake tract, especially at higher boost pressure. When the intercooler leaks, the engine will misfire. The leak will worsen over time and will eventually cause engine damage.

Not only is its' construction superior, with a welded core unlike the split OEM core, which makes it more durable, but the larger ports also allow more flow in and out, causing temperatures to stay cooler for a longer period of time.
