Oil Engine Assembly / Klotz

Klotz Assembly Lube is designed to provide exceptional lubrication during the assembly and initial startup of new or remanufactured engines. The fluid maintains a tenacious film on surfaces to prevent metal-to-metal contact. It is boosted with corrosion inhibitors to protect hardware from oxidation while in storage. The formulation quickly mixes with the primary crankcase oil once the engine is running.

Klotz Assembly Lube facilitates the proper break-in of piston rings, bearings, camshafts, and lifters. It also prevents initial damage to cylinder wall coatings, such as Nikasil.

This product can be used to lubricate the assembly of other equipment as well. This includes transmissions, differentials, marine lower units, and pumps.

Directions for Use:

Liberally apply Assembly Lube to hardware surfaces as summarized below.

Pistons – Apply to cylinder walls, piston rings, piston ring grooves, and piston skirts. Also apply to piston ring compressor during installation.

Wrist Pins – Apply to wrist pin, pin bosses, and small end of the connecting rod. Bearings – Heavily coat all bearing surfaces during assembly.
Bolts – Apply one or two drops to the initial threads of each bolt.
