4 Corners 4x4 Week & W.E.ROCK UTV Shootout Take Over Farmington, NM

September brought another huge week for the Four Corners off-road community as 4 Corners 4x4 Week rolled into Farmington, New Mexico, followed by the W.E.ROCK Ultimate Performance UTV Shootout at Chokecherry Canyon.

For us at Ultimate Performance UTV, this is the kind of week that reminds us exactly why we do what we do.

Between the trails, rock crawling, competitors, spectators, volunteers and some seriously capable machines, Farmington once again showed why the Four Corners is such an incredible place to own and build a UTV.

4 Corners 4x4 Week in Farmington, New Mexico

The week kicked off with 4 Corners 4x4 Week, running September 7–11 and bringing the local off-road community together for several days centered around four-wheel-drive vehicles, trails and everything that comes with the Four Corners off-road lifestyle.

Ultimate Performance UTV was proud to be part of the week and host the BBQ before attention shifted toward one of the biggest events of the week: rock crawling at Chokecherry Canyon.

Farmington has access to terrain that gives UTV owners a little bit of everything. Technical rocks, steep climbs, trails and open desert make this area a serious proving ground for both drivers and machines.

And on September 12, things got a whole lot more competitive.

W.E.ROCK Ultimate Performance UTV Shootout

The W.E.ROCK Ultimate Performance UTV Shootout brought competitors out to Chokecherry Canyon for a night of unlimited rock crawling under the lights.

This wasn't about cruising down an easy trail.

Drivers and their machines were pushed through technical terrain where suspension setup, drivetrain performance, tires, clearance, fabrication and driver skill can make the difference between clearing an obstacle and going home early.

The result was one hell of a night of UTV rock crawling.

Congratulations to the top three teams:

  1. 1st Place — Nick Bailey & Rob Christensen

  2. 2nd Place — Rory Irish & Shawn Bylilly

  3. 3rd Place — Josh Patt & Jimmy Finn

More importantly, thank you to every competitor who came out and put on a show.

Built for Terrain Like This

Events like the W.E.ROCK Shootout also show just how much goes into building a capable rock crawling UTV.

Horsepower gets plenty of attention, but a machine intended for technical Four Corners terrain needs to work as a complete system.

Suspension geometry and travel matter. So do tires, drivetrain strength, gearing, ground clearance, chassis protection, steering, cooling and fabrication. Even lighting becomes a major consideration when the sun goes down and you're still out on the rocks.

That's where having the right setup for how you actually use your UTV becomes more important than simply bolting parts onto it.

At Ultimate Performance UTV, we work on Polaris, Can-Am, Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha UTVs, with services ranging from maintenance and diagnostics to suspension, fabrication, drivetrain upgrades, cages, lifts, lighting, audio and complete performance builds.

Whether you're building something specifically for rock crawling or simply want a more capable machine for exploring the Four Corners, the goal is the same: build the machine around the terrain and the driver.

Why the Four Corners UTV Community Is Different

We can talk about the machines all day, but weekends like this aren't possible without the people behind them.

A huge thank you goes out to the sponsors, W.E.ROCK organizers, judges, volunteers, competitors and spectators who helped make this year's event happen.

The Ultimate Performance UTV Shootout continues to grow, and seeing everyone come together at Chokecherry Canyon is a big part of what makes this event special.

Farmington isn't just where our shop happens to be located. We build UTVs here because we ride UTVs here.

We know the terrain, we know what breaks, and we know what it takes to build a machine capable of handling the Four Corners.

Get Your UTV Ready for the Next Ride

4 Corners 4x4 Week and the W.E.ROCK Shootout might be wrapped up, but riding season isn't.
